Full Moon Shaktipat

It is believed that on full moon days, the influence of the moon is very strong and that people are able to be naturally more receptive. For this reason, full moon days are considered to be auspicious for shaktipat diksha (deeksha).

It is known that the moon influences the vast oceans but there is much skepticism regarding the influence of the moon on us. If the moon can influence the waters, how is it that it could have no influence on us? Even our bodies are 60% water. And how can the moon have such influence on materials substances such as water, but not on subtler things, such as the mind, subtle energies, feelings, etc.?

I rest my case.
